"When you slow down that decision-making process, such as who's going to do what, the good people usually end up leaving, and you end up with a lot of mediocre performers."

Dr. Daniel Vasella, Chairman and Executive of Novartis AG, has created many changes in the pharmaceutical company since its creation. Dr. Vasella has transformed the company into a thriving and innovative force in the drug industry. He credits Novartis' awakening and success to the innovative spirit of people within the company.
